What it was
A dating app built around two things the others ignored: what you like to eat, and when you are free.
In your profile you picked the cuisines and drinks you liked and set your free-time slots. The profiles you saw belonged to people whose tastes and availability overlapped with yours, and you could see that overlap before writing to anyone.
Once a chat started, the app suggested nearby restaurants that suited both of you. Free on Friday night and in the mood for sushi: it handed you the Japanese places around you. Then the Dates page was where you confirmed when and where.
It was called Noon Happen — Dating App, and the line under the name read Meet, Eat and Discover.
How it went
I shipped it in 2019 and kept it running on my own for seven years, in seven languages. The last real update is from June 2023.
Two hundred and forty ratings in total: 4.5 on the App Store across 168, 3.8 on Google Play across 72. The thing reviewers mentioned most was not the matching, it was seeing the free time you had in common with someone before meeting them.
And it kept being downloaded until the last day: 727 times on iPhone in the past year, with no advertising and without me touching it.
Why it closed
Because I wasn't developing it any more, and a dating app nobody maintains is not a place where you want people signing up.
From September 2026 you can no longer create an account or sign in to an existing one.
What happens to the data
If you had an account, the data still exists and will be permanently deleted by 31 December 2026.
Until then you can ask for a copy of it, or for immediate deletion. The request goes to the address given in the privacy policy, which is linked from the app listing on the store.
They are still on the stores
The apps can still be downloaded, but they no longer work: sign-up and sign-in are closed. The links are here because the listing still exists, with the screenshots and reviews from when it was alive.
